Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

A multimillion pound Durham commercial park is near completion, with units now available to reserve.

The developer behind St Andrews Park, based on the Dragonville Retail Park, Dragon Lane, Durham, has announced its first phase is now complete, with construction of phase two and three now underway.

Leading chartered surveyor Bradley Hall, which is marketing the £10m site, has now announced the units are available to reserve following the announcement that Kwik Fit, the UK’s leading automotive servicing and repair company, has occupied and opened within the first phase of St Andrews Park.

Peter Bartley, operations director at Bradley Hall, said: “This is a fantastic site in a prime location, and the fact that Kwik Fit has taken one of the first spaces is an indication of the calibre of tenants we can expect to take retail and office space at St Andrews Park.

“The units range in size and are able to be designed to meet the requirements of each individual occupier, including unit size and internal fittings. For example the Kwik Fit unit was purpose built for the company’s operations, with a specially installed work shop and reception area.

“St Andrews Park is situated only 1.5 miles from Durham City centre, and is surrounded by established leading retailers, encouraging a high footfall. There is a good surrounding population, further supporting that this is an excellent area to base a business.”

Up to 13 available units, ranging from 5,000 sq ft to 25,000 sq ft, are situated within an already well established area for shoppers. The Dragonville Retail Park includes a range of stores operated by well-known and trusted brands, including Currys, Argos, B&Q, Boots, and Tesco.

Mark Swallow, development consultant Angel Developments (Durham) Limited said: “We are delighted to have the site so close to completion and to have Kwik Fit on board.

“The innovative development provides tenants with the opportunity to create their own bespoke space within one of the region’s leading retail parks.

“We are in an advanced discussions with a drive through restaurant and a range of other retailers. Thanks to its fantastic location and the popularity of the surrounding retail park and high passing trade, we are expecting the units to be very attractive to a range of businesses.”
