Multiple Promotions at Ryecroft Glenton

17948Ryecroft Glenton, one of the North East’s largest independent firms of chartered accountants and business advisors, has announced a series of promotions as it strengthens its team of specialists.

A group of six members of staff have been promoted to new positions at the Newcastle-based firm across a number of departments.

Anthony Main has been promoted to Director of Business and Personal Tax Planning.  He takes the position after 10 years with the firm where he has built up a particular specialism advising self-employed business people, professional partnerships and high net worth individuals.

Stephen Callaghan and Jon Routledge have both been promoted to become Senior Managers.  Stephen, who has also been with the firm for a decade, works primarily with SMEs providing management accounting information and year-end statutory accounts.  He also holds a supervisory role within the firm’s training department for ICAEW, ACCA and AAT students.

Jon, a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, joined Ryecroft Glenton from Newcastle University in 2007 and works for several corporate clients in a range of business sectors including property and manufacturing.

Michael Parry has been promoted to the position of Manager within the firm’s Business & Assurance Services department.  Another Newcastle University graduate, Michael joined Ryecroft Glenton in 2009 and primarily works for corporate clients providing accounting, audit and taxation advice.

Promotions have also been made within Ryecroft Glenton’s sister business, Portland Financial Management, which provides wealth management and independent financial planning services.  Heather Beresford, a qualified financial adviser, has been promoted to Pensions Director, reflecting her highly regarded expertise in the provision of pensions advice.  Sarah-Jane Miller, who provides technical support to the firm’s financial advisers, has been promoted to Paraplanner.
