Murder in the Reference Library Plays to be Premiered

Screen Shot 2015-06-02 at 16.44.32A SERIES of dramatic play readings under the title “Murder in the Ref” featuring death, plots and thrilling revelations are to be performed.

Since March a creative writing course has been run at Middlesbrough’s Central Library by Teesside University Senior Lecturers in Creative Writing Andy Willoughby and Bob Beagrie.

The two course leaders have been helping budding writers with creating character, writing into location and narrative structure in order to come up with original murder stories.

The tales have now been adapted into ten minute plays to be shown in rehearsed readings with professional and student actors in the Reference Library library on Tuesday, June 9 from 7pm as part of the Crossing the Tees book festival.

Tickets are £3 and available on the door, from www.crossingthetees.org or Arc box office on 01642 525199.
