A North East renewable energy specialist is in the running for two national awards.

Oakes Energy Services is a finalist in two categories at the National ACR and Heat Pump Awards as a sub-contractor for leading heat pump manufacturer, Kensa.

They have been shortlisted in the Non-Domestic Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) Project of the Year and Domestic GSHP Project of the Year categories at the awards, which takes place on 24th January at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.

The National ACR and Heat Pump Awards recognise significant projects, people and products from across the air conditioning and refrigeration industries.

The Awards recognise the best people, projects, products and solutions in the air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump industry and are voted for by industry peers

Oakes Energy Services provides a range of energy efficient services to commercial and domestic applications, which includes designing and installing renewable energy systems to reduce energy consumption and bills. It forms part of Pacifica Group, one of the UK’s leading home services firms, which is headquartered in Houghton le Spring.

These latest shortlistings follow a strong year for the Group, which was recognised with several awards in 2018. It won the national Social Responsibility Company of the Year award at the 2018 Energy Efficiency Awards, while 0800 Repair, one of Pacifica Group’s subsidiaries, was recognised with a Special Commendation in the Multi-Measure Project category.

Pacifica Group is also a finalist at the 2019 H&V News Awards, the most prestigious and longest running awards ceremony for the construction, heating and plumbing industry.

Jason Oakes, Managing Director of Oakes Energy Services, said: “We are delighted to be nominated in these awards, which feature many of our industry’s leading players. Hopefully we will be celebrating further awards recognition, building on a successful period for Pacifica Group.

“We have worked with Kensa for many years and look forward to working with its team on more significant projects in the future.”
