Thomas Blake Cosmetic Creams, which provides a wide range of products to help cover up disfiguring scars and skin blemishes under the Veil Cover Cream brand name, has appointed the agency to define the brand and raise awareness of the products with existing and new target audiences.
Originally developed in the early 1950s to help cover disfigurements and burns suffered by WW2 pilots and soldiers, the creams continue to be manufactured in the traditional way in the North East. As well as selling products online, the company also supplies the NHS and has recently partnered with Look Good Feel Better – an international charity providing free services for women and teenagers struggling with the visible side effects of cancer treatment.
The strategy presented by The Creative Alchemist aims to reposition the brand in the current pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry by using a number of tactics including PR, marketing, design and the development of a new eCommerce website, while staying true to the brand’s key values and heritage.
Leo McDermott, Director at Veil, said “We chose The Creative Alchemist as the level of creativity and knowledge of the team was obvious from the start. The proposed activities really stood out to us as a brand”.
Lisa Holt, Managing Director at The Creative Alchemist added: “We’re thrilled to be working with Veil Cover Cream to redevelop the brand”.
“It’s an amazing product with deep roots in the North East, and the team are extremely dedicated to seeing the brand succeed, so they’re were a perfect match for us. We’re really looking forward to creating a strong brand identity to help them reach new audiences and better connect with existing customers”.
