Commercial property specialist Naylors has completed an office letting at Team Valley to leading software company PrismTech, following a £1.5m refurbishment project.

The building, formerly known as Talipot House, was acquired by The Roland Group in 2014.

Naylors’ building consultancy team was appointed to undertake a full refurbishment creating 17,000 sq ft of new Grade A office space within the building’s original shell, incorporating a double height entrance atrium, raised access floors and air conditioning.

Following completion of the project, Naylors has now brokered the letting of the first floor of the building to PrismTech, which has had a presence on Team Valley for over 25 years.

The expansion is the result of PrismTech’s growth within the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) sector following its acquisition by ADLINK Technology Inc in December 2015. The new premises will allow for the firm’s continued expansion, with plans to create a number of new jobs.

Lawrence Ross, CEO of PrismTech, said: “The North East of England has always been a solid base for PrismTech and by investing further here shows just how committed the company is to the region and its people. This new facility and the increased staff numbers will help to ensure that we are fully able to the meet the needs of our rapidly growing IIoT client base both now and in the future.”

Angus White, managing director at Naylors, added: “We have been very privileged to have had the opportunity to work on the full lifecycle of this fantastic project from identifying the initial development opportunity for our client to completing the letting to PrismTech. We now have just the ground floor to let which offers a further 7,800 sq.ft of Grade A office space.”

Gavin Black and Partners acted on behalf of PrismTech.
