Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

NE high fliers kick off sponsorship of local football teams

CaptureStone Technical Services (STS) has provided a welcome boost for two local football teams.

The restoration and high level repair company have become sponsors of Tynemouth United’s Under 12s who play in the NEYDL (North East Youth Development League) and also of Grangefield Academy in Stockton.

At Tynemouth United, Darlington-based STS are the shirt sponsors for the new season, while the company has provided a full, new kit for the footballers at Grangefield Academy.

STS chose to support the teams as part of the company’s commitment to working across the local community in the North East.

Tynemouth United plays at the JJB Soccerdome at the Royal Quays in North Shields and the team is coached by Darren Blake and Phil Jennings. The team was formed in 2007 and is a registered charity playing to FA standards.

Phil Jennings at Tynemouth United said: “Support from local businesses like STS is vital as teams like ours are having a really tough time with funding. However, the young footballers love coming to training sessions and love their competitive games even more. It’s a lot of fun and we’re always on the look out for new players to join us as we- hopefully- progress up the league this season.”

CaptureVicky Pinkney at Grangefield Academy in Stockton said: “The football teams at our academy are over the moon with their new kit. We look so professional now and it’s such a great boost for our season.”

MD of STS, Dave Stone, said: “The coaches and the young people involved have so much dedication so we didn’t really need a lot of convincing to offer our support. And we’re football mad at STS too! We’re passionate about supporting a host of small, local charitable organisations and this is part of out commitment to our local community.”

STS has provided sponsorship and support for a number of people and organisations including European swimming champion, Nick Parkes from Stokesley, Heel and Toe Children’s Charity in Durham and Shotley Bridge Cricket Club’s annual beer festival to name a few.
