“On balance we welcome the measures outlined in the Conservative Party small business manifesto. While much of what is contained within it has already been announced either during Budget 2015 or via subsequent announcements this is a timely reminder that small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy.
“In particular, the proposals for a permanent increase in the annual investment allowance and cuts to red tape are a step in the right direction. NECC called for such measures to be taken during our recent budget submission so it is positive to see recognition of this. Translating these promises into action is, however, another issue and we will press whatever government we get following 7 May to take steps such as these to support our small businesses”.
