Newcastle-based affordable house builder Adderstone Living has announced several major new appointments to support business growth and expansion beyond its traditional North East heartland.
Debbie Hope joins as director of new business with a brief to develop the company’s range of affordable properties for social housing providers in Yorkshire over the next 18 months, including establishing a new regional office. She brings more than 12 years’ experience in affordable housing development within the public sector to the role, and will work closely with the directors on identifying and delivering new opportunities.
Also appointed are senior planner Emma Moon, senior estimator Neil Fitzpatrick, and technical coordinator Jordan Dixon, who will all be based at The Fleming in Jesmond and add further technical expertise and skills.
Currently employing 30 people, Adderstone Living is strengthening its operations to meet strong demand from local authorities and housing associations for its ‘land-led’ solutions. These include sourcing suitable land, scheme design and securing planning permission to enable quality homes to be delivered.
Stephen McCoy said a strong commercial performance is being driven by securing new business and development land and targeting expansion into Yorkshire next year, where there is a lot of demand for good quality affordable housing, will deliver further growth.
