New Recruits bring a Wealth of Experience to the Teams at Tait Walker

Screen Shot 2016-04-20 at 16.32.45NORTH EAST accountancy practice Tait Walker has announced seven new appointments across several teams in its Gosforth office.

The Corporate Finance team has welcomed Graham Dotchin, who joins as an Associate.  Graham previously worked at Tait Walker for three years before joining SCM Pharma as the Commercial Director. Graham then joined digital SEO agency Media Works as Finance Director. He is pleased to be back working with the Tait Walker team, taking a lead role in Business Development.

Graham, from Tynemouth, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed working for Tait Walker and am keen to bring the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout my time away, back into the business.”

Lauren Tennant joins the company as a forensic services executive. After recently qualifying as a chartered certified accountant, Lauren brings with her a wealth of experience from her time at Begbies Traynor.

Within the forensic department, Lauren will work in all areas requiring expert witness and specialised investigations and reports relating to fraud and general litigation disputes.

Lauren, from Hartlepool, said: “I have come to the department at a time of significant growth in the areas of work we specialise in, so am looking forward to bringing my previous experience to the table and working with the team at Tait Walker.”

The Wealth Management department sees Kim Hancock joining as a wealth support executive. Kim previously worked at IFAS, Lowes Financial Management, Punter Southall and Close Brothers before moving to Tait Walker.

She says: “After studying at Northumbria University and beginning my career at North East firms, I’m looking forward to continuing my development with such a highly thought of company in the area.”

The Business Services department will see Emily Vasey joining as a trainee. Emily, from Whitey Bay, previously worked for Proctor & Gamble and is keen to learn and develop her skills as she settles in to the team at Tait Walker.

The final three appointments are within Tait Walker’s IT and Payroll departments.  Rebecca Patterson joins as an IT group support administrator, with Glen Scott and Katie Gardiner joining as payroll administrators.

Rebecca joins the team as a recent graduate in mathematics from Northumbria University and will be developing her skills within the department as she assists the team.

Katie brings with her five years’ experience working within payroll, processing an average of 5000 employees on a monthly basis. She has now joined Tait Walker’s tax team and will be assisting with the payroll administration of over 170 companies, whilst also working towards her payroll diploma.

Glen, from South Shields, has joined Tait Walker from Parsons Brinkerhoff and will be working alongside Katie within the tax team.
