Manor Walks is set to expand its leisure quarter this summer with the opening of a new restaurant and bar.

Glass House will join a host of other restaurants already resident at Manor Walks in Cramlington, including Nando’s Frankie & Bennys and Prezzo.

The bar and restaurant will be a welcome addition to Northumberland’s premier retail and leisure destination and will add to a growing host of premier tenants, bolstering an entertainment offer at Manor Walks that includes a nine screen Vue cinema, bowling alley, leisure centre, pub and a raft of dining outlets.

In the heart of Cramlington, Manor Walks is increasingly successful, drawing in more than 10 million visitors a year to its mix of food, fashion and leisure retailers which include high street retailers Next, Dunelm, TK Maxx, New Look, M&S Simply Food and Boots.

Refurbishment of the 7,650sq ft bar and 120 seater restaurant is currently underway, and Glass House Cramlington will create 42 new jobs when it opens in July 2017.

Jacqui Kell, Chief Executive of Arch said: “We are delighted to have secured Glass House as an anchor tenant for Manor Walks Shopping Centre as this letting will greatly enhance the leisure quarter.

Already one of the most successful shopping centres in the North East, the aim is to make Manor Walks even bigger and better. Attracting businesses like Glass House is fantastic as they are a great asset for the centre and will help cement it as the place to go for leisure and entertainment in Northumberland.

“Securing tenants such as Glass House not only creates additional jobs in Cramlington, but enhances the choice of quality venues for local people to eat and drink in the town centre.”

Glass House owners Mark and Kelly Nigrelli hope to follow the success of their first outlet Glass House Newcastle and are looking forward to opening their new venture in Northumberland.

The restaurant will offer a varied menu using locally sourced produce including Sunday lunches and afternoon teas. It will also be introducing its famous Club247 offer of two selected cocktails for £7.

Owners Mark and Kelly Nigrelli said: “As a family run business we are really excited about introducing the Glass House product to Cramlington. As a thriving upcoming area with many new developments featuring across the town, we saw massive potential for sharing Glass House’s customer service and quality products with the local area.

“We have acquired a fantastic team applying the experience of our other venues that will fit with our brand and offer a quality affordable dining and drinking experience for our customers. Our relaxed atmosphere mixed with well-appointed decoration is something we consider an exciting addition to the Cramlington leisure scene. We’re looking forward to becoming Cramlington’s leading dining and drinking venue and welcoming our new customers throughout the rest 2017 and beyond.”

Glass House Cramlington will be open seven days a week from 9am-12am Sunday to Thursday and 9am – 1am Friday and Saturday.
