New Shirt a Goal Worth Running for at Tees Pride 10K

Screen Shot 2015-08-25 at 15.39.55FOR the thousands of runners, walkers and charity fund-raisers taking part in this year’s Tees Pride 10k and 3k Fun Run, simply completing the course is reward in itself.

But they’ll also receive a lasting reminder of their efforts when they pick up their well-earned goody bag as they cross the finish line.

In addition to the ever popular medal – have you got the full set? – they’ll be able to pull on the striking 2015 sapphire blue finishers’ T-shirt.

Tees Pride 10k shirts have a reputation as being among the best on the running scene, and this year’s example – in technical running fabric making it ideal for training sessions – is no exception.

Some 4,000 have been produced and will be packed into goody bags by the RunMiddlesbrough charities team in readiness for the Taylor Wimpey 10k and mima 3k Fun Run event on Sunday, September 6.

And for those who have yet to submit their entry, the deadline has now been extended to Wednesday, September 2. However runners are reminded that only online applications will be accepted after this Wednesday (August 26).

Race Director Scott Hydon said: “Getting in shape and taking part in the Tees Pride events is an achievement in itself, but it’s great to have a memento of the day.

“The 2015 T-shirt looks fantastic, and I’m sure they’ll be seen far and wide following this year’s event.

“Entries have been a little behind where we’d normally expect them to be – possibly because this year’s event is a week earlier that last year’s – so we’ve decided to extend to the deadline for entries to next Wednesday to ensure as many people as possible can take part in one of the stand-out events in the town’s calendar.

“But remember – over the last week we can only accept entries submitted online via the RunMiddlesbrough website.”

To sign up the Taylor Wimpey Tees Pride 10k, visit www.runmiddlesbrough.com call 01642 515672 for an application form or pick one up at Middlesbrough leisure centres or the central library. On Twitter, follow @TeesPride10k

Entry is £18 or £16 for affiliated runners. Entry for the Fun Run is £8, with family entries just £25 for two adults and up to three children aged under 16.

Please note that the closing date for entries to the Taylor Wimpey Tees Pride 10k and mima Fun Run is Wednesday, August 26.
