New Women’s and Girls Table Tennis session at Bishop Auckland

Continuing the range of new opportunities to play table tennis at Bishop Auckland Table Tennis club the club is now launching Women’s and Girls only sessions, thanks to funding from the County Durham Community foundation and Table Tennis England’s – BE–TT programme.

Building on the women’s sport momentum the sessions will offer a fun mix of social play with some casual coaching from the female coaches at the club.

“It’s not just a sport, it’s a family. I started playing through a women’s session five years ago, so it’s great to have support to have them running again” said Nikki Rutter Disabilty and inclusion officer at the club.  “There’s no weekly commitment so can fit around people’s busy lives”

Sessions will run weekly 5.15pm-6.15pm at Bishop Barrington School and costs £3 but your first session is free, the sessions also offer a bring a friend deal, where is you bring a friend you both pay £1 for the sessions, Open to all ages and all abilities.
