A North East art gallery is wooing couples with its wedding open day this May and, for the first time, providing wedding inspiration through a variety of inspiring and interactive pop ups.
The Biscuit Factory – an independent art, craft and design gallery that was shortlisted for Best City Venue in the 2016 UK Wedding Awards – will host its summer open day on Saturday 12 May, 11am – 2pm.
The event will include a handpicked selection of locally-based pop ups, with dry hair styling on the day from the team at Boilerhouse Hair Ouseburn and modern calligraphy taster sessions from craft duo, The Crafthood. Suppliers Coco Luminaire and Snaparazzi will also be showcasing their imaginative wedding prop hire.
The gallery will host a boutique jewellery pop up, spotlighting its unique handmade jewellery collection and advising couples on how to commission their own wedding bands.
Alongside this, couples can explore the cultural venue, including its dedicated events space, The Biscuit Room, while enjoying complimentary fizz, canapés and home churned ice cream from the in-house catering team.
The Biscuit Factory’s events coordinators will be on hand to talk to guests, one-to-one, about The Wedding Collection – a unique portfolio of services encompassing everything from exclusive hire of The Biscuit Room to a specially designed three-course wedding breakfast menu.
As one of the largest hireable spaces in Newcastle – The Biscuit Room can accommodate up to 250 seated guests for a meal and party. The main gallery is also licensed for ceremonies and civil partnerships for up to 120 guests and is a truly memorable space to say your vows.
