Newcastle Falcons confirm three home friendlies

Newcastle Falcons have confirmed a trio of home pre-season friendlies, which will all be free of charge for season ticket members.

On Saturday August 12 the Falcons will host a double-header at Kingston Park Stadium, taking on Greene King IPA Championship sides Nottingham at 2pm and Doncaster Knights at 4.30pm.

That will be followed on Saturday August 19 when Rotherham Titans are the visitors in a 4.30pm kick-off, preceded by the Blaydon v Glasgow Hawks curtain-raiser.

The Falcons will play a final pre-season game away from home the following weekend, with details of that match to be announced once the venue and kick-off time have been confirmed by the host club.

These games offer a first look at a Newcastle squad fresh from their highest Premiership finish in 11 seasons, and with a host of exciting new signings having been made. Summer arrivals include Canada’s record try-scorer and Pro 12 title winner DTH van der Merwe, three-time French champion Maxime Mermoz and returning fly-half Toby Flood as Dean Richards’ men look to continue their on-field improvements.

Newcastle Falcons’ 2017-18 season ticket members are entitled to free entry for all three of the home friendlies. Non-season ticket members can buy tickets for the August 12 double header for £10 adults and £5 juniors, with the same prices also applying for the visit of Rotherham on August 19. Reserved seating is in operation for all three games, with only and the West and East Stands open.

Season ticket memberships are available for the 2017-18 season by calling 0871 226 6060, with adult prices starting from just £198 standing and £339 seating.
