Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Newcastle Falcons St James’ Park tickets now on sale

Tickets are now on sale for The Big One, Newcastle Falcons’ Aviva Premiership Rugby fixture against Northampton Saints at St James’ Park on Saturday March 24 (KO 17:30)

Starting from just £10 per ticket for adults and £5 per ticket for Under 16s, thousands of tickets have already been ordered following the exclusive booking period for season ticket members, for what promises to be a massive day for North East rugby.

Targeting a new record attendance to a Falcons home game of 20,000+ supporters, tickets are now available to buy via both the Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle United box offices.

All advertised price categories are on sale via the Newcastle Falcons box office, while tickets in categories 1, 2, 5 and premier can be bought from St James’ Park.  Category 3 and 4 tickets are Kingston Park only.

The Big One will be supported with a curtain raiser between varsity rivals Newcastle and Northumbria Universities ahead of the main Newcastle Falcons fixture and the largest ever Land Rover Premiership Cup taking place at Kingston Park Stadium earlier in the day.

The event will also provide an opportunity for the club to rally behind Doddie Weir, with a £10 donation from every adult category 2 ticket and a £5 donation from every concession or under 16 category 2 ticket being made directly to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. These tickets are priced £25 adults, £20 for concessions and £10 for juniors. Additional details on further fundraising opportunities for the MND Foundation will be released in due course.

With the game providing a sporting focus on a day with no Premier League or Championship football, groups of friends, work colleagues or members of clubs can also book to enjoy a big day out, with details available by emailing hannah.sutheran@newcastle-falcons.co.uk .

With the game already generating a huge buzz following its launch in mid-November, it is shaping up to be a must-see event in the North East’s 2018 calendar and one both players and coaches are eagerly anticipating.

Director of rugby Dean Richards said: “St James’ Park is an incredible stadium and this is a fantastic opportunity for us to take a game there.

“The passion for sport in our region and the commitment from the public in supporting major sporting events is second to none, and it will be a memorable day which people will want to be part of.”

Club captain Will Welch said: ““As a kid from this area I was brought up watching Newcastle United games at St James’ Park and experiencing the amazing atmosphere there.

“For us as Falcons players to now go play a game on that stage will be something truly special, and I’m sure our supporters and the wider public in our region will buy into it.”
