Newcastle Lettings Agent seeks new identity

One of Newcastle’s leading Lettings and Estate Agents has revealed its new identity and vision for the future of student accommodation and the private rental sector in the area.

Walton Robinson, who specialises in residential lettings for students, professionals and families, has now become Seekers.

The rebrand does not have any impact on arrangements for existing tenants and landlords, but marks a shift in the aspirations of the agency, which has been operating for over 20 years.

Managing Director, Mark Walton, said: “As an established company with two decades’ worth of experience, we feel the Seekers name continues to position us as an authority on property.

“It’s important to note we’re not merging with anyone or that we’ve resurrected as another company. We simply feel the time’s right to shake up our brand.

“Rest assured, you’ll still continue to receive the same levels of customer service you always have and our intention is to go from strength to strength.”

Walton Robinson was set up in 2001 when founder Mark Walton purchased an impressive contract of professional and student management properties, alongside a database of landlords.

Over the years, the agency’s services and focus have changed and as a progressive and innovative business, a new name, look and feel seemed like the best way to take the company forward.

Operations Director, Mark Smith, said: “As a business, we’re extremely forward-thinking and we are continually looking to future-proof, and make life as easy as possible for our clients.

“To seek means to search for and find something and we think our new name perfectly sums up what we do for our clients. We’re everyday people who genuinely care about delivering brilliant service.”

Seekers will retain its head office in Percy Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, whilst their name, branding and website have had a complete facelift, with new and exciting features, and a new domain name.

The agency will continue to offer its existing services to tenants and landlords, meanwhile building on its specialised property sourcing and consultancy service.

Investment Director, Richard Ponton, said: “We know a property is more than just four walls – for a landlord, it can be their livelihood and also their retirement fund. For students, it’s a home from home. For developers, it’s a crucial investment into the region.

“With our knowledge and experience of the student and investment market, our specialist consultancy service provides investors and developers with the right support and market insight, to buy or build the right product, in the right area, with the right market in mind.”

Whether clients are looking to let, rent, buy, sell, invest or develop, Seekers aims to make the process simple.

Whilst they do all the things a typical estate and letting agent does, the agency’s core offering is twofold: a letting and management service for residential landlords and tenants, and a consultancy service for corporate investors and developers.
