ONE of the largest free LGBT events in the UK returns to Newcastle’s Town Moor this weekend (July 15-17) with a packed programme of live music and entertainment.
Now in its ninth year, Newcastle Pride kicks off on Friday July 15 with the LGBT 5K run on the Town Moor, where there will also be a screening of Sing along a Mamma Mia.
This will be followed by a two-day festival with performances from headline acts 5ive and Heather Small, as well as other stars including Sonia, Jake Quickeden and Nathan Moore.
Saturday’s action begins with the traditional LGBT parade from the Civic Centre to the Town Moor at noon.
This will be followed by Main Stage performances at the moor by a host of stars, with 5ive headlining on Saturday and Heather Small closing the show on Sunday.
