North East Employment Service Supports Organisations with Egg-Cellent Donation

A leading North East employment support provider, Moving On Tyne & Wear, is helping to support two local charities this Easter, working with local communities and businesses to donate 250 Easter eggs.

The North Tyneside team of MOTW, in collaboration with the mental health charity, Mental Health Concern, have collected Easter eggs for North East Homeless and the domestic violence charity, Harbour – both based in North Shields and organisations that MOTW work with on a regular basis.

For the second consecutive year, MOTW set up six donation points across North Tyneside, as well as working with businesses, supermarkets, and communities to collect a total of 250 eggs to give to service users of the charities.

MOTW North Tyneside Senior Navigator, Joanne Mclauchlin said: “The North Tyneside MOTW team like to give back to the local community and wanted to make sure that no one goes without a chocolate treat this Easter. So, for the second year running, we launched an Easter egg campaign.

“This year our collection is in aid of the people supported by North East Homeless and Harbour. In the work that we do, we collaborate closely with these organisations, so we see first-hand the fantastic impact that they make.

“Through this campaign we have brought the community together and rallied around with requests to local residents and businesses. We asked some local businesses to act as donation points, so people could call in and drop off eggs, and we have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response. In total, we have collected 250 Easter eggs! This has truly been a community effort in supporting these organisations.”
