North East gallery draws up new creative away day experiences

The Biscuit Factory – the UK’s largest independent commercial art, craft and design gallery – has crafted a series of new away day packages designed to inspire and motivate employees.

A variety of hands-on activities are available to teams of between 8 and 20 employees, including paint a planter, block printing, brush lettering and modern calligraphy. Sessions are led by talented creatives and local makers and last between one and three hours.

This is followed by a freshly prepared in-house lunch from The Factory Kitchen cafe’s daily changing menus, which includes a range of fresh salads, speciality brunch dishes, homemade sandwiches and vegan options.

Teams are also encouraged to explore the gallery during their visit, featuring contemporary artwork from more than 250 emerging and established artists from across the UK and beyond every season.

Kathryn Tye, Business Development Manager, said: “Our new creative away days are a brilliant opportunity for teams to enjoy a new experience and gets their creativity flowing. We already have an outstanding reputation in the business community for our conferencing and events services, and we hope this new offer will get businesses thinking about The Biscuit Factory as more than just an art gallery or meeting space.

“The away days are just one of a suite of new offers we’re launching specifically for corporate clients, with the aim of engaging more of the business community across the city and wider region so we hope we can, in some way, inject a little bit of art or creativity into more workplaces in the future.”

The Biscuit Factory’s new away day experiences are priced from £40 per person. For more details visit The Biscuit Factory website.
