North East planning experts Hedley Planning Services has boosted its operations with the appointment of an assistant planner for its new Teesside and Yorkshire office.

The move will see Hannah Chapman working alongside director Stephen Litherland on growing the Wynyard-based operation, new business development and providing strategic planning support for residential and commercial clients across the region.

A graduate of Newcastle University, she will work closely with the senior management team as they oversee expansion and demand across Teesside and Yorkshire, particularly around the company’s strategic land promotion expertise.

Hannah Chapman, who will continue to support Hedley Planning Services’ Hexham-based clients, brings extensive experience and expertise to the role.

She has been involved in planning applications for residential developments in Wynyard and securing approval for a 450,000 sq. ft industrial estate at Urlay Nook Road, Eaglescliffe.

New work and clients are driving growth for Hedley Planning Services, with the firm currently employing six planning experts with support staff.

Stephen Litherland said further new roles will be created as he invests in building a skilled and dedicated regional team at the Evolution-based office to meet demand.

He said: “Our clients will benefit from Hannah’s strategic insight and creative approach to finding sustainable solutions for developing estates, land and assets. She’s firmly committed to providing a quality service and will contribute to supporting existing and new clients with her valuable insight and expert advice.”

Hedley Planning Services’ Wynyard office is already involved in several regional projects with further new work expected to fall into place over the coming months as demand for its services increases.
