A LEADING NORTH EAST law firm is continuing to build on its success, with the appointment of two new members of staff.
EMG Solicitors based at Abbeywoods Business Park, Durham, has gone from strength to strength since it was launched in 2014 by Court of Protection specialist, Emma Gaudern.
And as part of its long term plan to continue strengthening both its team and its offering to clients, the company has hired Julia Middleton, an associate solicitor specialising in Family Law and Karen Thompson, a business and finance assistant.
Having qualified as a solicitor in 2000, Julia, who is originally from South Shields and now lives in Tynemouth, specialises in Family Law where she advises clients on divorce and financial disputes, private law children matters, domestic violence injunctions and wealth and asset protection.
Julia worked in the family department at Newcastle’s Ward Hadaway for more than 13 years before joining EMG and is also a Resolution Accredited specialist in financial matters and private law disputes regarding children, as well as being a trained collaborative lawyer.
“I am thrilled to join EMG Solicitors and help build the excellent Family Law department that the team has already established,” she said.
Her words were echoed by Karen, who is eager to put her 30 years of experience in customer service, business and finance to good use at the law firm.
Before joining EMG, Karen, who lives in Durham, worked for companies including British Airways, Distance Learning College and Riley Langdon Solicitors.
