Wallsend singer / songwriter Junior Turner spent the last 2 weeks putting together a virtual online variety show in support of NHS PPE.
Junior called upon friends on the entertainment circuit to send him a self recorded segment of their act which he then put together to make a 5 hour show.
This show included North East magician Chris Cross, Baldy Holly, Stephz Matty Raayson, former X Factor contestant Geoff Mull, Jonny Boyle, Shannon. Also featured was tribute acts including north east act Shiel Campbell as Neil Diamond, Liverpool based Justine Riddoch with her Totally Tina tribute to Tina Turner, Kelly O’Brien from London with The Dolly Show and from Cardiff both Jon Fisher as Gary Barlow and Donna /Marie/ Trego as Lady Gags. And all the way from Tenerife was Shelley and Paul Fitzpatrick performing too. Junior Turner himself performed with the grand finale act being local singer ‘Wor Vera’ with a tribute show to the wartime era music closing out the show with Vera Lynn hit We’ll meet again.
The show was then edited and put together by Junior Turner and streamed out by TK events Neil Kipling via Facebook & YouTube to an audience both local and afar.
The show was well received and raised £600 so far which went direct by our fundraising page to the main page seen here –
