Northwood Primary School in Darlington is set to host a series of open days for parents considering choosing the school for their children’s education.

Part of the Lingfield Education Trust, a multi-academy trust which comprises six schools across Darlington and Middlesbrough, Northwood will be showcasing everything the school has to offer at events on Wednesday October 11 and Wednesday November 8.

Taking place from 4-6pm, the events will be attended by key members of the Northwood team, including head teacher Zoe Beach, CEO of Lingfield Education Trust, Nick Blackburn, and school teachers and governors.

Mrs Beach said: “Although the new academic year has just started, parents with children set to start school or nursery in 2018 will already be thinking about their options.

“Holding open days will give us the opportunity to showcase everything the school has to offer, and will allow those considering Northwood to see first-hand the improvements which we have made over the past few years.”

Northwood Primary School has places for 420 full-time pupils, from reception to year six, with a further 52 part-time nursery places.

In addition to state-of-the-art eco-facilities, which include a living roof, rainwater drainage and windows controlled by oxygen levels, Northwood offers a wrap-around provision for childcare, from 8am to 6pm, and is the base for Darlington Council’s speech and language therapy service.
