Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

ONE-HOCKEY continues their drive forward in the sporting world

North East based ONE-HOCKEY are continuing their growth in the sports coaching market and with the recent introduction of ONE Netball, expect this to be an even busier year.

Simon Lee is the founder and co-owner of ONE-HOCKEY and the company is in its eleventh year and has seen the introduction of ONE-SPORTS WAREHOUSE based in Chester-le-Street in 2017 and more recently ONE-NETBALL.

ONE-HOCKEY provides top quality hockey coaching and in 2014 became an England Hockey Official Coaching Agency and was one of the first coaching agencies in the UK to receive the accreditation.

The company has worked with guest coaches including Olympic Gold medallists Kate Richard -Walsh and Maddie Hinch and had five times World Player of the Year, Jamie Dwyer working with them in August 2018.

The growth in the businesses has meant that Simon Lee required a new vehicle for the business and turned to VERTU Honda Newcastle.

Having discussed his requirements with Chad Ridley, Branch Manager at VERTU Honda Newcastle, Simon drives a sponsored Honda CR-V.

Commenting on the deal,Simon said; “I found dealing with Chad and VERTU Honda a simple process and he listened to my needs and recommended the Honda CR-V which I’m very pleased with and will certainly be an asset to the business.”

Chad Ridley said on handing over the keys;” VERTU Honda Newcastle are always proud to help and support local businesses where ever possible. We are delighted Simon is looking forward to enjoying his new Honda CR-V and wish him all the best for the future.’

With the growth in the sports coaching business the latest introduction to the ONE-Group of sporting academies has been ONE-NETBALL with netball camps held with ex England player Leah Kennedy and in 2019 when England are hosts to the Netball World Cup, ONE-NETBALL will have Team England Commonwealth Gold Medalist and England Netball Captain Serena Guthrie holding netball masterclasses in the North East this summer.

Simon Lee added further comment saying that; “Our sporting academies are growing year on year and the future is exciting especially with the ONE-NETBALL masterclasses this Summer, when hopefully Serena Guthrie will have been part of a World Cup winning England team.”

The ONE-GROUP of Sporting academies and ONE-SPORTS WAREHOUSE are supported with Claire Dobison-Lee, Simon’s wife and the family support continues with Lynne Dobison, Claire’s mother running the ONE-SPORTS WAREHOUSE.
