Online campaign helps tenants to get through the winter months

County Durham Housing Group is reminding customers to follow its online ‘winter warmers’ campaign, which provides daily advice for around the home in the case of inclement weather conditions, how to keep fit and well during the colder months, and also signposts to other advisory services like the Met Office and NHS.

As part of the group local landlords Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes are working together to prepare customers should bad weather hit using the hashtag #winterwarmers on their social media channels.

Jill Ancrum, County Durham Housing Group Communications, said: “You only have to look at recent events across in Cumbria to see the disruption that bad weather can cause.

“Our campaign aims to aims to prepare tenants for all conditions and raise awareness of the support networks available during the colder climes.”
