Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Open auditions for Tyne Theatre Productions’ next show, Oklahoma!

Screen Shot 2016-05-16 at 11.53.38Tyne Theatre Productions are delighted to announce open auditions for Oklahoma!

We are seeking actors, singers and dancers of all ages (children included) to take part in open auditions for the ensemble and principal roles for the show, which will be staged entirely by volunteers, including a live full orchestra.

The show will be directed by the accomplished director Enid Bilton-Gale, who has been associated with the Tyne Theatre & Opera House for more than 20 years. Enid is both a Stage Director and performer with a huge portfolio of successful productions in the North East.

Musical director will be Jennifer Wagstaff, who has just recently joined the Tyne Theatre team. Leading Northumbria Musical Theatre Society for the past 5 years has put her at the conducting helm of shows like Sweeney Todd, Spring Awakening and Fame, as well as countless showcases.

The production is a fundraising and awareness activity for the Tyne Theatre and Opera House Preservation Trust, the charity that owns the theatre, which opened in 1867 and whose unique features include a lavish auditorium, outstanding acoustics and a full set of Victorian under-stage machinery.

The production’s headline sponsor is Parkdean, the Gosforth-based holiday park operator.
