Orchard Care Homes takes the lead

Orchard Care Homes continues to strengthen its reputation as a leading provider of care to the elderly with the appointment of Hannah Miller as Dementia Lead for the group.

With care homes based in the North of England and the Midlands, Hannah will oversee the company’s strategy for delivering high quality dementia care across the group’s portfolio.

Hannah brings a wealth of experience to her new role and joins Orchard from Four Seasons Health Care, where her role in Dementia and Care Quality Support involved working closely with home managers in all areas of their role to identify issues and develop effective solutions. She also worked closely with care teams in homes coaching and advising care practice with a holistic, individually tailored approach for each resident.

Following her appointment, Hannah said: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Orchard Care Homes as the Dementia Lead in the organisation. I hope to inspire and support the amazing teams in our homes to drive forward the care they provide for people living with dementia.

“I am extremely passionate about ensuring we do all we can to see beyond a person’s diagnosis of dementia to understand who each of our residents really are. To find ways to embrace their unique experiences, both past and present, developing genuinely person-centered care which improves their quality of life and brings happiness to each day they spend with us at Orchard.”

Hayden Knight, CEO at Orchard, welcomed Hannah to the team, saying “This appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to providing quality dementia care to our residents and supporting our dedicated staff who care for them on a daily basis. With Hannah’s experience and expertise, I am confident she will make a valuable contribute to our vision to deliver the quality care that we would all wish for our loved ones.”
