PANCAKES were flying at a Stockton-on-Tees care home as residents tucked into the tasty treats to mark Shrove Tuesday.
The Beeches Care Home kitchen was tossing and serving up pancakes by the dozen as residents topped them with lemon, suger, golden syrup and chocolate sauce.
Resident Alywn Behan said: “Pancake Day is one of my favourites. I like mine with syrup.”
Amy Trattles, activities coordinator at The Beeches Care Home, on Green Lane, said: “All of our residents remember Pancake Day from their childhood so we wanted to give them a traditional taste from their past.
“Everyone really enjoyed eating the treats.”
