Motorists are being advised of a number of temporary road closures in South Shields Town Centre this Saturday (2 July) as the South Tyneside Festival Summer Parade takes to the streets.
The Summer Parade will set off from South Shields Town Hall, in Westoe Road, at around 1pm, travelling along Fowler Street, Ocean Road and Sea Road to its final destination at Bents Park.
Those taking part in the parade will assemble in Claypath Lane and Percy Street from 11am.
To enable the parade to take place, Claypath Lane and Percy Street will be closed between 11am and 2pm, to allow parade entries to be marshalled. Part of Westoe Road, Fowler Street, Ocean Road and part of Sea Road will be closed between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Motorists are advised to follow the diversions signs that will be in place.
