HOME OWNERS keen to part exchange their house for a forever home on a new County Durham development can find out more at a special event this month (January).
Leading housebuilder Miller Homes North East is creating 288, sustainable, three to five-bedroom properties at Fellside Gardens, overlooking the Lanchester Valley, at Delves Lane, Consett.
And its is holding an information day on Saturday 25 January for prospective buyers to find out more about the various schemes and buying initiatives on offer for those with homes to sell.
The development includes three distinct character areas, providing a mix of diverse and attractive street scenes in an attractive semi-rural setting, with the four-bedroom Beauwood and the four-bedroom Markham among the most sought-after house styles.
For current homeowners who are looking to make a move but are reluctant to face the, often stressful, task of selling their existing home, Miller’s Part Exchange and Assisted Move schemes are designed to make the process as easy as possible.
Miller takes on the admin and costs associated with selling, managing the independent valuation and marketing of a customer’s property.
And, if required, the housebuilder will purchase their home through its Part Exchange scheme, sparing customers the need to find a buyer and covering the cost of estate agent and advertising fees.
At the event, which takes place from 10.30am to 5pm, Miller Homes staff will be available to answer questions and guide potential buyers through the house styles, specifications and guide prices.
An independent financial advisor will also be on hand to help with any queries or concerns regarding affordability and the home buying process.
And those who attend will be able to view the development’s luxurious five-bedroom Wilkin show home and enjoy a complementary drink and treat on arrival.
“Part Exchange and Assisted Move are hugely helpful to those who are looking to move but have a property to sell,” said sales director Lauren Angus.
“Not only can they speed up the process and remove some of the stresses and strains associated with house buying but Part Exchange can, of course, greatly reduce the costs of moving as there are no estate agent’s fees to pay.
“We are increasingly finding that older buyers, in particular, are drawn to new builds, not least because of their lower running costs and their incorporate sustainability features, so this event is the perfect opportunity for them to find out more and explore the homes available.”
