A leading North East retailer has double the reason to celebrate after reporting a record year and reaching its 40-year anniversary.
Pennine Home Improvements, announced 35% growth in 2017, stating turnover for its Benton showroom has increased by more than 15%, to £12.7 million.
The Newcastle-based company specialises in the design and installation of high quality conservatories, orangeries, replacement conservatory roofs, windows and doors throughout the North East, with showrooms in Benton, Gosforth Park, Birtley and Ponteland.
In line with its continued growth, Pennine, acquired by The Conservatory Outlet Group in April, has made several significant senior appointments in recent months, including Managing Director; Mark Tinnion, Marketing Director; Nusheen Hussain and Head of Construction; Mark Weston.
A further 16 new members of staff have been appointed in the last year, taking the total number of employees to 65, with an additional 60 contractors, highlighting the firm’s incredible success and need for further planned expansions in 2018.
About the double success, Mark, said: “In the double-glazing industry, it is quite remarkable for a brand to be going strong for 40 years, so we are very proud of this.
“It is not by chance the brand has been in existence for so long and is still going strong, much investment and hard work has gone into the business over the years and we believe in continuous investment in the brand and company, to give our customers the best possible experience.
“Reporting our best results to date is the icing on the cake of what has been a pivotal year for the company.”
The company, which started with just two members of staff when first established, completed its 25,000th customer installation last year. Following the introduction three years ago of four unique promises to all customers, the company has seen business go from strength to strength.
Based on customer research it announced a 20-year guarantee, a Pennine price promise, 24-hour emergency lock-out service and free annual maintenance checks. In addition, the company also has a dedicated Aftercare department to ensure customers are provided with the best possible experience.
“With house prices increasing within the North East, homeowners are looking to invest and expand their existing space, said Nusheen, who is proud to be one of very few women at Director-level within the industry.
“Providing beautiful conservatories and orangeries while creating luxury living spaces and seamless home extensions for our customers is at the heart of everything we do.
“We’re looking forward to an exciting future of further investment in 2018, tapping into the latest innovations and digital technology, to continue our goal of delivering the best end-to-end customer experience in this industry.”
