PEOPLE’S HEATHER SMALL TO PERFORM AT ROCKLIFFE HALL

Multi-million record-selling artist, Heather Small, will be performing at a special Marquee event at Rockliffe Hall on Saturday 20th May.

As the voice of M People, hits such as Moving on Up, One Night in Heaven and Search for a Hero helped Heather become one of the seminal British voices of the 1990s, with the Band winning the Best British Dance Act Award at The Brits in 1994 and 1995, while their album Elegant Slumming picked up a Mercury Music Prize.

Heather also enjoyed great success with two solo albums – the title track of Proud has gone on to become the soundtrack to a whole host of very special events including London’s successful 2012 Olympic bid, the 60thanniversary of VE Day in Trafalgar Square, the Tsunami Relief Concert and England’s victory at the Rugby World Cup celebrations.

Heather, who was also a contestant in Series 6 of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2008, will perform hits from M People and her solo career, in a luxury marquee set within the stunning grounds of the award-winning Rockliffe resort.

The black tie evening hosted by Smooth Radio will include a three course menu created by Aaron Craig, one of the executive chefs from Rockliffe Hall’s three exquisite restaurants and all entertainment including a 75 minute set by Heather Small followed by a disco. The evening will be held in aid of the Graeme Wylie Foundation, with a raffle and silent auction on the evening.

Prices start at £95 per person for premium tickets, going up to £350 per person for VIP tickets which include seats at tables in the front row, Champagne and a meet and greet session with Heather. Corporate packages are also available.

Of her forthcoming show at Rockliffe Hall, Heather Small says: “I am very much looking forward to coming up to the North East to perform at Rockliffe Hall. It’s a stunning venue and I can’t wait to perform some for what I know will be a welcoming crowd.”

Eamonn Elliott, Chief Executive at Rockliffe Hall, says: “We are delighted to be holding another marquee event in the grounds of Rockliffe. The Tony Hadley event last May was a huge success and we’re thrilled to be holding another big event for our guests. Heather Small is one of the most successful female recording artists of recent years and we look forward to welcoming her here.”

There will be 500 tickets for “An Evening with Heather Small” which are now on pre-sale for Rockliffe Hall members and go on general sale on the Rockliffe Hall website –  www.rockliffehall.com – at 10am on Wednesday 1st February.

The event will start at 7pm with carriages at midnight.
