If you’re getting the mood music and candles out for a romantic meal in this Valentine’s Day, save yourself the hassle of scratch cooking. Few people are impressed by home-made ravioli (2%), messy Spaghetti Carbonara (9%), or the oh-so-healthy Risotto (10%). Instead, the majority of Brits would prefer to cosy up and share a pizza with their loved one (33%)– enjoying time together rather than arguments in the kitchen.
New One Pulse research for The Pizza Company also reveals that one in 25 people (4%) think pizza originated from the Welsh valleys, not Italy or the USA. Despite this, and for the 82% that regard pizza as synonymous with Italy, The Pizza Company is making its ‘Italian Job’ pizza a regular item to its range – and it’s celebrating the popularity of lasagne with its lasagne inspired toppings. This follows research which reveals that lasagne is a meal that delivers people’s favourite Italian flavours.
