Newcastle-based supply teacher agency PK Education has expanded its team with the appointment of Adam Florance as SEND Manager.

He makes the move to PK from a leading national education recruitment specialist and FTSE 100 Company, bringing strong relationship building skills and passion to the role where he will be managing the Newcastle office alongside Amber Horrox.

Describing what prompted him to join PK Adam, from Newcastle, said: “PK’s family approach to education combined with a genuine care for schools and teachers attracted me to the role. It’s a fresh approach and matches my vision and way of doing things.”

Adam’s appointment follows a record year of growth and expansion for the company, which was founded in Sheffield in 2005. In the last three months it has opened three brand new offices and appointed 10 new members of staff.

PK Education ow boasts seven offices and a team of nearly 40 staff. Staff have been recruited across the board filling director, recruitment consultant and support positions.

The company has also opened new offices in Wakefield, Leicester and Manchester. Additionally, the company has relocated to larger, better located premises in Nottingham city centre. The new offices join PK Education’s existing locations in Sheffield, Birmingham, Nottingham and Newcastle.

PK’s rapid expansion follows increased demand from schools for high quality teachers and support staff with local knowledge and specialist skills.

Last year the company rebranded and made significant investment in its systems and processes in preparation for nationwide expansion in 2017.

New staff have been attracted by the company’s fresh approach to recruitment, which matches staff to schools based on their skills, experience and personality, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. PK’s approach to recruitment within a crowded and dated industry, is helping it attract quality teaching staff.
