The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 13 October but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
A1 Junction 56 Barton to Junction 51 Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire
There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed restriction 24 hours a day from Junction 52 Catterick to Junction 56 Barton. There will be a full motorway closure both northbound and southbound from Junction 51 Leeming Bar to Scotch Corner Interchange from Friday 13 October 8pm to Sunday 15 October 6am while works take place to remove a temporary bridge south of the River Swale. There will be a full motorway closure southbound from Scotch Corner Interchange to Junction 52 Catterick from Sunday 15 October 8pm to Monday 16 October 6am for barrier installation. There will be a full motorway closure both northbound and southbound from Scotch Corner Interchange to Junction 56 Barton from Monday 16 October 8pm to Tuesday 17 October 6am for a switch in traffic management arrangements. This project is due for completion by Winter 2017/18.
A1M Junction 49 Dishforth to Junction 50 Ripon, North Yorkshire
There will be a 24 hour full closure of the northbound entry slip road at Dishforth Interchange (junction 49) and the northbound exit slip road at Baldersby Interchange (junction 50) with overnight hard shoulder and lane closures northbound from 8pm to 6am for resurfacing work. This project is due for completion 6 November.
A19 Silverlink, North Tyneside
There will be overnight full closures northbound with roundabout closures from 8pm through until 6am for Interchange improvement work. There will also be a 24 hour 30mph speed restriction with narrow lanes. This project is due for completion in March 2019.
A1 Felton River Coquet, Northumberland
There will be overnight traffic lights southbound from 8pm until 6am for inspection work. The works is due for completion 9 November.
A1 Warreners House to Lane Head, Northumberland
There will be overnight traffic lights north and southbound from 8pm until 6am for inspection work. The works is due for completion 3 November.
