Plugging the Leaks in the Local Economy

Screen Shot 2015-06-23 at 14.23.31MAKING the most of every pound that enters the local economy will be the focus of a workshop in Middlesbrough next month.

Plugging the Leaks is being hosted by One Planet Middlesbrough and the New Economics Foundation to explore how money and resources flow in and out of our local economy.

The event aims to and plan and develop ways to ensure more money and resources stay in Middlesbrough, and draw up an action plan.

The workshop – on Tuesday, September 8 – is free and open to all and will be ideal for those who want to find out how to make money work harder and better for their community.

It’s a chance for local people to play a part in designing the economy they want, and put forward ideas for the sort of projects and initiatives they feel will make a real difference.

Plugging the Leaks takes place on Tuesday, September 8 from 5.30pm to 8pm in Room T2.01 in Teesside University’s new Curve building off Southfield Road. Refreshments and networking from 5pm.

Places are limited and booking is essential – to book, visit http://www.menvcity.org.uk/opm/events/
