Popular Vintage Market Returns to Stockton

ChicVintageVINTAGE clothing, retro home ware, antiques, collectables and unusual handmade gifts are just some of the fabulous items on offer as the enormously popular Chic Vintique market returns.

A free to enter marquee on Stockton High Street will be packed full of gifts and goodies this Saturday (9 July) between10am and 4pm.

The second Chic Vintique market this year sees the addition of a number of new stalls including the Stateside Treat Emporium, Sixpence World and Faerie Wishes – all providing a variety of vintage delights from eras gone by.

As well as all of this, catering will be served up by the popular local café Remember Me Tearooms who’ll be offering scones, sandwiches and, of course, pots of tea! There’ll also be an interactive Wurlitzer jukebox so shoppers can choose their very own soundtrack.

Councillor Nigel Cooke, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, said: “Chic Vintique has quickly become one of the highlights of our popular specialist markets programme and I have no doubt that people will be out in force again to enjoy the retro goods on offer.

“It’s set to be a great atmosphere with the jukebox playing tunes from previous eras so I’d encourage everyone to come along with their friends and family to make the most of the unique event right here on Stockton High Street.”

There’s even more tasty treats to enjoy from Sundaes in Yarm who will be bringing their bespoke vintage cycle to serve up handmade gelato and sorbet.

Organised by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council in partnership with Louise Lewis Events, Chic Vintique is part of the ongoing specialist markets programme heading to Stockton Town Centre over the coming months to attract visitors into the town and to complement the popular traditional market.

Visitors are reminded that they can park free of charge for one hour in all of Stockton Town Centre’s short stay, off-street car parks.
