Claire Barber PR & Media Ltd has won the PR account for the international Newcastle Film Festival. Jacqui Miller-Charlton, President of the Newcastle Film Festival, which has drawn film entries from over 60 countries worldwide so far said “we are delighted at the Newcastle Film Festival NFFL to be working with Claire Barber PR & Media. Claire has done an absolutely tremendous job from the launch and organisation at the Cannes Film Festival to the heavily attended media launch on our home turf of Newcastle. We are thrilled. Claire was trained by former Chairman of McCann Manchester Roger Murray (formerly Royds Manchester), leading product developer Rob Kay at Carterbench Advertising and Product Development in Cheshire and other advertising agencies in Manchester, including one of the first agencies to handle dedicated PR accounts in the 80’s (Oldham and Rochdale Council, Salvesen Homes). Breaking away with the former Creative Director of Royds Manchester and former directer Peter Shaw to set up an advertising agency in Manchester with client’s including Vimto, Claire is now based in the North East. Claire Barber PR & Media has been established for over for over 13 years and is run by Claire and her daughter Charlotte Barber with clients including The Alnwick Garden, Ashleigh Money Saver and Sea & Land Training (SALT) Ltd.
