Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Prepare to be scared at Wharton Park this Halloween

Families are set to be spooked this Halloween as Fright Night returns to Wharton Park with an all new scary spectacular.

Following the success of last year’s event, Wharton Park will play host to a spooky new show by Let’s Circus on Saturday, 28 October.

The Halloween-themed event will take place in the park’s amphitheatre with acrobatics, juggling, giant balloon comedy and much more.

Ticket holders can also visit the fire garden at the Way Sculpture where they will be treated to a fire-juggling performance.

Steve Cousins, Ringmaster at Let’s Circus, said: “We can’t wait to get back to Wharton Park with its beautiful surroundings and friendly Durham audience.

“Like every event that we do, we’ll be bringing great quality circus performances from our international artists and promising a night of fun for the whole family.

“To celebrate a night of Halloween mischief we’re inviting everyone to come dressed up and join the otherworld for a night of creepy carnival fun!”

Park gates will open to ticket holders at 5pm with the show starting in the amphitheatre at 6.30pm. Visitors are encouraged to get into the spirit of Halloween by wearing fancy dress.

As this is an outdoor evening event and the park has limited lighting, visitors are reminded to wear outdoor clothing and asked to bring a torch.

Wharton Park car park will only be open to blue badge holders but alternative parking is available at County Hall during the event.

Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Gala box office on 03000 266 600. Individual tickets are priced at £3 and a family ticket for five is available at £10.
