Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club and Bishop Barrington School had the local primary schools in a spin last week by hosting a Primary School Festival.
Local schools were invited to send teams of young pupils to take part in the festival.
The day consisted of 7 different activity stations, with each station testing the table tennis skills of the young pupils, including playing against the table tennis robot, and longest rally champion.
Over 110 pupils took part, many of whom were trying table tennis for the first time. The pupils were treated to an exhibition match between the club’s top players before all being awarded a certificate and information about Bishop Auckland Table Tennis club. The winning team were a combined team from St chads and Woodhouse Primary schools.
