Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Promoting Ryedale to visitors

Capture‘Visit Ryedale’,  in association with Scarborough Borough Council and the North York Moors National Park,  is  getting ready to hit the road as part of a campaign to promote the Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors.

Tourism is an important part of the economy across this area and the team will be attending a number of trade shows over the coming months aimed at independent leisure and group markets, the first of which is the’ Destinations Show’ at Event City in Manchester in January where thousands of consumers are expected.

The many  attractions and events in this part of North Yorkshire will be marketed by the team as well as distributing the 2016 visitor publications which will showcase the beauty and diversity of the area, including the Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors Attractions & Events, Delicious Food and Drink and Ryedale’s Market Towns guides.

Members of the team will also be helping to promote the area’s many year-round festivals and events including the Tour de Yorkshire, Malton Food Lovers Festival, Railway in Wartime Weekend,  Scarborough Armed Forces Day and Whitby Regatta.

Ryedale District Council’s Visitor Economy Officer, Craig Nattress said: “These exhibitions attract thousands of people from coach operators to individual couples and families who are all looking to plan their holidays in 2016. They provide  a valuable platform from which to highlight all the unique selling points and diversity the area has to offer, for the benefit of the many businesses in Ryedale that are impacted by tourism.”

The publications produced by ‘Visit Ryedale’ are available to download from www.visitryedale.co.uk
