PSYCHE the Middlesbrough-based department and online designer clothing store, has won a top fashion industry award at a national awards ceremony.

The Middlesbrough-based store and online retailer has won the Best Store Design at Drapers Independents Awards. The national awards feature the best of Britain’s high-flying independent retailers and specialist fashion outlets.

On top of the award it was also shortlisted for Best Independent Multichannel operator at the prestigious UK fashion industry event held in London. Household names like Ted Baker, Fred Perry, Farah and Gabicci, were also nominees at the event.

Steve Cochrane, owner of Psyche, said: “We are obviously delighted to be both a winner and be shortlisted. To get recognition for our Middlesbrough-based business is no mean achievement. When you’re in the North, people think the world starts and ends in London. It’s a big thumbs up for Teesside on the national stage.

“Drapers awards are the Oscars of the fashion world, so it’s testament to where we are heading as a company, now on the digital front with our online store and app and the hard work done by all the team at Psyche.”
