CARE home residents were treated to a storytelling day by Thornaby school pupils as part of National Storytelling Week.
The year five pupils from St Patrick’s RC Primary School, in Thornaby, read their favourite books to the elderly residents of Mandale House Care Home.
Christine Reason, home manager, said: “The residents thoroughly enjoyed meeting the children and hearing their favourite stories. We’re extremely grateful to the school and the pupils for coming in and brightening the residents’ week.”
National Storytelling Week is organised by the Society and Storytelling and celebrating around the UK by clubs, theatres, museums, schools, care homes and hospitals.
