A NORTH EAST spa is bubbling with excitement after being shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.
The Spa at Ramside, at County Durham’s Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa has been announced as one of the finalists for the Best Spa for Wellness category at the Good Spa Guide Awards.
Ramside, which won Best Spa for Wellness at last year’s ceremony, was the first in the UK to offer a special programme of treatments for guests whose lives have been affected by cancer, as part of the Wellness for Cancer organisation.
With five pools, guests can spend time in the award-winning hydrotherapy pool, bubble pool, 25 metre swimming pool, outdoor vitality pool and book a slot at the private infinity pool.
It is also home to a number of thermal suites, including a herbal infused sauna, caldarium, sunken sauna and Himalayan salt steam room, and a state-of-the-art fitness suite.
And the spa, which recently expanded its offering by welcoming luxury skincare brand, Natura Bissé, regularly hosts self-discovery retreats with workshops and talks from a leading life coach.
Spa manager, Joanne Green, is delighted that the spa has been recognised for its efforts.
