*Free Show at Scarborough Spa – 3pm Saturday*

*Supporting James Arthur Scarborough OAT – Sunday*

Rap-pop rockers Y.O.U.N.G plan to entertain the crowds in Scarborough this Saturday August 11 with a free pop-up performance.

The five-piece will perform a free gig at Scarborough Spa from 3pm and will also meet with fans.

Y.O.U.N.G are in the Yorkshire seaside town ahead of supporting James Arthur for his rescheduled headline show at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday.

It is Y.O.U.N.G’s third visit to the Yorkshire Coast venue this summer after they opened the show for The Script and Emeli Sandé last month.

The pop-up performance and return show also comes after a series of summer festival dates which has seen the Manchester-based outfit earn an army of new fans as well as massive hype around their rework of live set fan-favourite ‘What I Gotta Do’ in celebration of the World Cup.

The five-piece are Chez Davis (vocals/guitar), Benjamin James (rap), Jamie Skehan (guitar), Tom Whitehead (bass) and Graeme Smith (drums).

Speaking about their return visit Chez said: “Scarborough is beginning to feel like home this summer, so we thought it would be a good idea to do a free pop-up show ahead of supporting James Arthur.

“This will be a stripped back acoustic performance and we really hope to see both local people and holidaymakers. It’s the summer holidays so come and catch some live music for free!”

And just 24-hours later Y.O.U.N.G will take to the stage at Scarborough Open Air Theatre to open the show for headliner James Arthur.

Chez added: “We’ve already had two great shows there and are delighted we’re now on the bill to support James Arthur. This feels like the perfect fit for our fanbase and hopefully we’ll pick up a new legion of fans on the night.

“As northern lads we love nothing more than a day at the seaside so to enjoy the delights of sunny Scarborough followed by supporting James Arthur at such a great venue is the perfect way to enjoy the summer.”

Y.O.U.N.G completed their first ever UK headline tour in association with Live Nation earlier this year. They are playing European dates next month with more UK dates due to be announce soon.
