Redcar-based law firm, Cygnet Law, is celebrating a successful period of continued growth by creating three new jobs in its family law, accounts, and adult services teams.
Danielle Smith has joined the firm’s family law team, Michelle Rowell is now on the accounts team, and Kirby Pacey has joined the adult services department as an assistant and solicitor respectively.
Kirby started with Cygnet Law on a two-week work experience programme before being offered her new position, and Danielle has just completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) and taken up her first position as a Legal Assistant to progress her career. Michelle joins the firm from Freeman Johnson Solicitors in Darlington
Kirby Pacey said: “I was given a fantastic opportunity by Cygnet Law to have some work experience and really get to know the team in the adult services department and how the business works. I was absolutely delighted when I was offered the chance to stay on, as it will help me to develop as a legal assistant.”
Danielle Smith said: “It is essential for legal professionals, at the start of their careers, to work in a business that will nurture and help them as their career progresses. I love working at Cygnet Law, as, even though it’s incredibly busy, the senior team can always take the time to support the newer members of the team and really make them feel welcome.
“Cygnet Law is integral to the community in Redcar, both as a service and as a business that supports local causes. I’m excited to be building a career here.”
Peter Medd, a director and solicitor at Cygnet Law, said: “The team at Cygnet Law prides itself on being a local service and employer, and we are well respected within the community. I’m delighted that, due to some fantastic success over the past 12 months, we have again been able to create new jobs in Redcar.
“It is important that we keep home-grown legal talent in the region, as our local residents deserve to have the best people who care about the area looking after their affairs
“I’d like to welcome all of our new team members to the Cygnet Family, and I look forward to seeing all they will achieve with us.”
