A CONSULTATION on the care home services provided to Stockton Borough’s older people is closing and residents are being encouraged to give their opinions by Friday 27 March.

There are currently 36 commissioned older people’s care homes across the Borough, all providing a variety of services and provisions.

Stockton Council is keen to learn whether these services meet the needs of service users in order to continue to develop and improve the Borough’s older people’s care homes.

Current residents, family members, friends and other individuals can access the two online surveys, which form the consultation, on the Council’s website at www.stockton.gov.uk/carehomeconsultation

The consultation will also work with the independent, voluntary and community sectors, alongside local health partners, to ensure that future arrangements continue to address the social and nursing care needs of residents.

The consultation is entering its final week after being launched on 16 February.

For more information on the Older People’s Care Homes Consultation please call 01642 527056.

Any residents that are interested in sharing their views on local issues are also invited to join Stockton Council’s Viewpoint panel. For more information, visit www.stockton.gov.uk/viewpoint
