JML, one of the UK’s most recognisable retail brands, has invested in its transport fleet with the support of Simon Bailes Peugeot.

The award-winning firm recently handed over three new Peugeot Partner vans at JML’s offices in South Shields.

The innovative consumer product company, which has more than 5,000 video screens promoting its products in stores throughout the UK and Ireland, mainly operates petrol engine Mercedes Benz and Citroen vans.

Judith Fahey, Fleet Manager, said: “We opted to add Peugeot to our range of small vans as the Partner impressed with its outstanding levels of quality, comfort and storage capacity.

“JML has a wide product range, with a particular focus on homewares, cookware and health & beauty, and it’s vital that our famous own-brand products are delivered quickly, efficiently and safely to our partner stores throughout the region.

“We selected Simon Bailes Peugeot to supply the vehicles because of its emphasis on quality, first-class service and after sales care – as well as its ability to supply a van capable of meeting our exacting requirements.”

Simon Bailes, CEO of Simon Bailes Peugeot, which has dealerships in Northallerton, Stockton and Guisborough, said: “We are proud to be part of the North East business community and to have been selected to supply such a successful global firm as JML.”

The vehicle acquisitions are part of the London-based company’s ongoing programme of replacing and upgrading older vehicles within its fleet.

JML was founded in 1986 and its unique business model, which combines multichannel sales with integrated marketing, media, ecommerce and distribution has transformed the small family-run enterprise into an international household brand.

Simon Bailes Peugeot currently has some fantastic contract hire offers available with the Free2Move Lease across the Peugeot range, including the all-new Peugeot Partner Van, awarded 2019 International Van of the Year and 2019 Fleet Van of the Year.
