Charnwood College Riders is a big part of the clubs’ player pathway programme. Last year it saw them claim the EABL crown for the first time, whilst also finishing in the two top in the WEABL as the Academy entered its third year under the direction of head coach duo Josh Merrington and Krumesh Patel.

Leicester Riders’ Managing Director, Russell Levenston is passionate about their work in Loughborough and commented, “Charnwood College and the David Ross Educational Trust (DRET) are excellent partners and they are committed to supporting basketball.

“We have grown the programme over the last 12 months and especially in our staff base at Charnwood College, since it continues to help develop more players for the club and continues developing the next generation of Great Britain players.”

We have an exciting opportunity for players who would like to join the Leicester Riders’ programme. Applications for the Charnwood College’s open day on 27 October are still open and to register a place, players can CLICK HERE.

The club is also encouraging everyone to follow @Charnwoodbball on social media for an insight to the daily running of the programme.
